Against a Throwaway Architecture questions the role of the built environment in the context of consumerism - specifically that of architecture as a strategy against
corrosive forces.

Case studies set forth proposals in how architecture can be more resilient in promoting a healthier, sustainable, and more flexible futures. Contributions are situated within three topics: Considering Life Cycles, Designing for Open Programs, and Keeping and Adapting What is Already There.
The narrative of the content is carried into the design of the publication as an act against consumerism and waste itself . The graphic work emphasizes minimal tendencies to lessen ink use on the cover and body, whereas the size of the publication utilizes a folded A3 format to standardize material and avoid waste.
